Tokai Electronics expands Batangas hub for supply chain

Tokai Electronics Philippines Inc. is expanding its warehousing operations in Batangas after signing a supplemental agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), reinforcing its logistics network as demand from the country’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturers continues to grow.

The Japanese electronics solutions provider will establish an additional warehouse at the Lima Technology Center-Special Economic Zone (LTC-SEZ) in Malvar, Batangas, extending its operations beyond its existing warehouse at the Laguna Technopark-Special Economic Zone under its original 1998 registration.

The supplemental agreement with PEZA allows Tokai Electronics to expand its logistics footprint across two of the country’s leading manufacturing hubs, strengthening supply chain support for electronics exporters and multinational manufacturers operating in the Philippines.

Under the expanded registration, the company is authorized to store, import, procure, pack, repackage and handle electronic goods and components for resale, transfer, disposition or export. The broader scope is expected to improve storage capacity, streamline inventory management and speed up the movement of critical parts across the manufacturing sector.

The Batangas warehouse will distribute semiconductors, electronic components, sensors, connectors, power devices and embedded modules used by companies in the automotive, industrial equipment, factory automation, communications and consumer electronics industries.

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga said the investment demonstrates the confidence of existing foreign investors in Philippine economic zones and reflects a trend of companies expanding rather than relocating operations.

“This expansion reflects the kind of continuous upgrading we want to see across our locators—companies like Tokai Electronics growing their footprint, deepening their operations, and finding new value within the ecozones they already call home,” Panga said.

Established in the Philippines in 1998, Tokai Electronics is a PEZA-registered Ecozone Logistics Service Enterprise that supplies electronic components and engineering solutions to manufacturers. The Batangas expansion further reinforces PEZA’s strategy of supporting long-term investor growth while strengthening the country’s globally competitive electronics and semiconductor supply chain.
