Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) provided relief to flood-affected families in Pampanga on Tuesday, turning over 250 ChariTimba food packs to the Social Action Center of Pampanga, Inc. (SACOP).
The handover took place at SACOP’s headquarters in San Fernando City as part of CIAC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Each pack holds essential supplies including rice, canned goods, noodles, coffee, and other ready-to-eat items, ready for distribution to communities in need.
SACOP serves as the social service arm of the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, delivering basic services and humanitarian aid to vulnerable groups, and coordinating assistance during emergencies.
CIAC noted the effort reflects its ongoing commitment to communities in and around the Clark area, especially during times of crisis. “Through this assistance, CIAC hopes to contribute to the immediate needs of families affected by the flooding and support the ongoing relief efforts of organizations working directly with affected communities,” the agency said in a statement.
The ChariTimba food package is a charity initiative under the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), which regularly distributes the packs to marginalized communities and disaster-hit areas. CIAC and PCSO also partner at the Clark Aviation Complex, where they set up a backup draw court to ensure PCSO operations can continue without disruption.
CIAC said it will keep supporting projects that address community needs and building stronger ties with government, civic, and community groups to deliver aid where it is needed most.
