Local renewable energy developer PAVI Green has launched rooftop solar projects in 14 Vista Mall and ALL Home branches across Luzon.
The Villar family affiliated company said the series of projects generates 467,647.41 kilowatt-hours a month able to reduce carbon emissions equivalent to 3,754,273.4 kilograms a year or the equivalent of planting 22,526 trees.
PAVI Green said the project energizes Vista Mall branches in Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Tanza and Dasmarinas, Cavite; Bataan and Pampanga; as well as Starmall San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
It is also energizing ALL Home branches in Imus and Kawit, Cavite; Antipolo, Rizal; as well as San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija, and Santiago and Cauayan in the province of Isabela.
The company said 11,315 solar panels have been installed in all 14 stores across Luzon with average capacity of 432-kilowatt peak of power from the panels, enabling electricity savings averaging 10 to 15 percent per branch.
“Sustainable energy is the future and we hope to significantly contribute to the country’s renewable energy target through these commercial partnerships. This milestone marks a significant step in our efforts to save the environment and enables us to become cost-efficient in terms of our electricity costs,” said Paolo Villar, Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc. president and chief executive officer.
Apart from rooftop solar, PAVI Green is also developing large-scale power projects such as those in Orion, Bataan and in San Vicente, Camarines Norte for 36 megawatts (MW) and the 50-MW plant in Naga, Camarines Sur.
