Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has appointed Arrey A. Perez as president and chief operating officer effective. The announcement follows the decision to transition Rogelio “Babes” Singson to key roles within the broader Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) group. Singson’s leadership at MPTC, though brief, was marked by significant contributions, including his recognition as the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) Management Person of the Year for 2024.
MPTC chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan praised Singson’s performance during his tenure and emphasized the company’s optimism as Perez steps into his new role. “Arrey’s extensive experience in infrastructure projects and leadership roles makes him well-suited to guide MPTC in its next phase of growth,” Pangilinan said in a memo.
Perez, previously the president and CEO of Clark International Airport Corporation, spearheaded the development of Clark Airport City, which is positioned as a premier civil aviation logistics hub. He brings over two decades of leadership experience from his time at the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
In an interview, Perez outlined his vision for MPTC, prioritizing “5-star customer service” and the expansion of the company’s tollways network. MPTC, which manages major expressways including NLEX, SCTEX, and the Cebu Cordova Link, serves nearly 700,000 vehicles daily.
Pangilinan expressed his gratitude for Singson’s leadership and extended a warm welcome to Perez as he takes on his new role, confident that MPTC will continue to thrive under his guidance.
