Mreit Inc., the real estate investment trust of Megaworld Corp., has signed a co-working partnership with Common Ground, one of Southeast Asia’s top flexible workspace providers, to establish co-working hubs in key Megaworld townships across the Philippines.
The collaboration’s flagship site, Common Ground Digital Park McKinley Hill in Taguig City, will offer nearly 2,000 square meters of workspace at the Intellectual Property Center. The facility is designed to serve as a launchpad for startups, providing access to conferencing amenities, meeting rooms, and a range of membership options including day passes and dedicated desks.
Future expansion sites are planned in Eastwood City (Quezon City), Iloilo Business Park, Southwoods City (Biñan, Laguna), and Capital Town (San Fernando, Pampanga).
Mreit CEO Jose Arnulfo Batac emphasized the project’s dual value as both a business accelerator and a shared hub for township residents and professionals. “Aside from supporting startup companies, the Digital Park at McKinley Hill will also serve as a common space for people looking to grow their businesses,” he said.
Chris Edwards, CEO of Common Ground’s parent company, The Flexi Group, called the Philippines a key growth market. “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Mreit to connect and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators,” Edwards said.
The Flexi Group, formed through a 2022 merger of Common Ground, the Hive (Hong Kong), and The Cluster (Australia), now operates over 45 locations across eight Asia-Pacific countries, positioning it as one of the region’s largest co-working space providers.
