Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), the Gokongwei-led property giant, is investing up to ₱1 billion to develop Asia’s first tournament-grade pickleball facility — a landmark project set to elevate the regional sports infrastructure landscape. Slated for completion by 2027, the Helios Pickleball Center will rise within RLC’s Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig and aims to become a future venue for Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour events.
The eight-story facility, being built in partnership with Kosmas Athletic Ventures Corp., will feature 25 professional-grade courts, including a dedicated stadium court designed to host large-scale tournaments. Supporting amenities will span six levels, offering a gym, sports clinic, food and beverage outlets, and two basement levels for parking, all within a 17,500 sqm complex.
RLC president and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said Helios is strategically positioned to host regional events, citing nearby lodging infrastructure including the upcoming Fili hotel, and established brands like Westin, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn.
“Bridgetowne is tournament-ready. The development’s hospitality and transport ecosystem enhances its ability to host international athletes and spectators,” said GoBio.
The project supports RLC’s broader ecosystem strategy to diversify revenue streams through sports, entertainment, and recreation. “This aligns with our premiumization pillar and the shift in consumer expectations beyond traditional retail and F&B,” she added.
Helios will also adopt a hybrid access model, with courts open to non-members via PodPlay, a digital platform for booking and community engagement — making the facility both world-class and inclusive.
