PAL tops Asia-Pacific for on-time performance in August

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been named the most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region for August 2025, achieving an on-time performance (OTP) rating of 89.37 percent, according to global aviation analytics firm Cirium.

PAL’s rating outpaced the regional average of 80.83 percent among the top 10 Asia-Pacific carriers, marking an eight-percentage-point lead.

Cirium defines on-time performance as flights arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled time at the gate—a key metric for passenger satisfaction and operational efficiency.

“We laud the efforts of our engineers, ground, and flight teams for working towards on-time performance through operational efficiency,” said Capt. Roland A. Narciso, PAL senior vice president for the operations group. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to enhance punctuality, which is vital to operational reliability and customer satisfaction.”

This is not the first time PAL has ranked among the top carriers in the region. It was also the most punctual airline in April 2025, second in January 2025 and October 2024, and third in March 2025, November 2024, and December 2024.
