Aboitiz Power supplying DITO cell towers with electricity

AdventEnergy, the retail electricity unit of Aboitiz Power Corp., has partnered with DITO Telecommunity to supply power to 1,642 of its cell towers. The agreement covers an aggregated demand of 13.8 megawatts, mostly for towers in Greater Manila, South Luzon, and North Luzon.

The deal is made under the Retail Aggregation Program, which lets smaller energy consumers combine their usage to secure competitive electricity rates from a preferred supplier. Specific terms of the agreement, including cost, were not disclosed.

DITO, which serves around 15 million mobile subscribers, said the move strengthens its 5G network reliability and environmental goals. Aboitiz Group CEO Sabin Aboitiz noted the partnership supports the company’s broader mission of enabling business growth and digital transformation.

“This is especially important in a predominantly digital world,” Aboitiz said.

AdventEnergy supplies power to over 500 commercial and industrial facilities nationwide.
