Basic Energy Renewable Corporation (BERC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Basic Energy Corp., has partnered with ACMobility, the Ayala Group’s mobility platform, to co-develop and manage electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by renewable energy in select Total-branded retail sites nationwide.
The partnership advances sustainable mobility and accelerates the Philippines’ transition to clean energy. Under the partnership, BERC and ACMobility will install EV charging hubs accessible through the Evro app, which allows users to locate, monitor, and pay for their charging sessions seamlessly in one platform.
The initiative will pilot at the Total station along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Northbound in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, featuring co-branded Basic RePower–ACMobility charging facilities. This first site will serve as a blueprint for future installations, highlighting how partnerships between key energy and mobility players can drive the growth of the country’s EV ecosystem.
“This partnership with ACMobility signifies Basic Energy’s strong commitment to advancing clean energy and sustainable transport,” said Basic Energy chief executie officer Oscar de Venecia Jr. “Together, we aim to make EV charging more accessible, convenient, and powered by renewable energy — enabling Filipino motorists to take part in the journey toward a greener future.”
The collaboration complements Basic Energy’s Green Energy E-Transport Program (GEEP), launched in 2023, and aligns with its broader renewable energy roadmap that includes solar, wind, geothermal, and energy storage projects.
Through its Basic RePower brand, BERC aims to establish a nationwide network of renewable-powered EV charging stations — helping decarbonize transport and power the Philippines’ sustainable mobility revolution.
