Globe boosts digital infrastructure as gov’t pushes Digital Philippines agenda

Globe reported strong third-quarter 2025 results, highlighting major gains in digital infrastructure and services as the government accelerates its Digital Philippines program.

Corporate data revenues rose 13 percent from the previous quarter, driven by higher demand for connectivity, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT) services, and data-center solutions—key tools for businesses moving deeper into the digital economy.

Globe also expanded data-center capacity through ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Philippines), its joint venture with STT GDC and Ayala Corp. The group began operating new facilities at STT Fairview 1 and Cavite 2, designed to support hyperscale, AI, and enterprise workloads.

At the community level, Globe’s network now covers 96.13 percent of the Philippine population. The company has partnered with UK-based social enterprise unconnected.orgto bring internet access to remote schools and Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), helping students, teachers, and residents access digital tools for education and livelihood.

“Globe’s infrastructure investments and enterprise solutions are vital to building the nation’s digital backbone,” said president and CEO Carl Cruz, noting the company’s role in supporting businesses and institutions as they adopt digital technologies.

Globe says it will continue driving inclusive digital growth through partnerships and innovation, aiming to help the Philippines prepare for an AI- and data-driven future.
