SM Prime Holdings Inc., the property arm of the SM Group, is pushing deeper into high-end leisure tourism with a P3-billion investment in M Village, an eco-resort community rising within Hamilo Coast’s Marina Estates in Nasugbu, Batangas. Developed by subsidiary Costa Del Hamilo Inc., the 12-hectare project aims to fuse upscale coastal living with an environment-first masterplan—an approach that recently earned it a Highly Commended Best Subdivision Development citation at the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards.
Set along the western seaboard of Batangas, M Village fronts the calmer side of the West Philippine Sea and is surrounded by deep, naturally protected coves such as Papaya Cove, offering year-round safe docking and ideal conditions for recreational boating.
“M Village is a unique property because it combines upscale coastal living with seamless access to both nautical adventure and nature,” said Shirley C. Ong, Executive Vice President and Business Unit Head of SM Leisure Resort Residences.
More than 60% of the estate will remain as open space and preserved natural systems. Over four hectares are dedicated to community amenities including a clubhouse, bi-level pools, a rain garden, family parks, an esplanade, and a spacious events lawn. The village’s first phase features over 170 residential lots, each designed to let homeowners park 4- to 6-meter boats and jet skis right at their doorstep—positioning the development as a year-round marine leisure hub.
Global design heavyweight WATG Singapore, known for projects such as Regent Bali Canggu and Nobu Residences Los Cabos, serves as concept planner, with Joel Luna Planning & Design handling the masterplan. Their collaboration aims to place M Village among Southeast Asia’s most distinctive coastal communities.
Market reception has been strong, Ong said, with buyers securing lots well ahead of the project’s late-2028 turnover schedule.
