BSP launches new coins celebrating PH festivals and ASEAN 2026

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has unveiled two new commemorative coins honoring the country’s cultural heritage and its upcoming role as ASEAN Chair in 2026.

In a ceremony at Malacañang Palace on 26 November 2025, BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. presented President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. with the “Pista sa Pilipinas: 100-Piso Philippine Festivals Commemorative Silver Coin Series” and the new 10-Piso ASEAN Coin.

The festival-themed silver coins highlight the vibrant traditions and celebrations found across the Philippines. Meanwhile, the ASEAN coin marks the country’s leadership and continued commitment to regional cooperation ahead of its ASEAN Chairmanship next year.
