    Singson quits from ICI job

Former Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson has resigned as member of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure that is probing controversial flood-control projects. ICI chairman Andres Reyes said Singson resigned because the stress of the commission’s work is taking its toll “on his aging body.” Andres said Malacanang has yet to accept the resignation of and name a replacement for Singson, which could extend the effectivity of his resignation to the end of December. Singson is the second official to quit ICI after special adviser and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong left in September.
