PLDT vows uninterrupted connectivity as Middle East tensions rise

PLDT Inc. has assured customers that its services will remain stable and uninterrupted despite escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing its readiness to respond to potential global disruptions.

PLDT chief operating officer Menardo G. Jimenez said the company is taking proactive steps to safeguard its network and ensure continuous service for PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, Smart, and TNT users.

“We want to ease concerns—our customers can rely on us to keep them connected,” Jimenez said, stressing that connectivity is critical for families, businesses, and communities during uncertain times.

The company said it has activated comprehensive business continuity protocols designed to protect critical operations. Its network is built with redundancies to withstand disruptions, while dedicated teams monitor systems 24/7 to quickly detect and resolve issues.

PLDT also underscored the strength of its supply chain, backed by multiple partners to secure essential equipment and services. It added that it maintains sufficient fuel reserves to keep key facilities running during power outages.

Trained personnel are on standby to ensure operations continue without interruption, even as risks evolve.

PLDT said it is closely tracking global and local developments that could impact its services, reiterating its commitment to deliver reliable connectivity nationwide.

The company added that these measures also support ongoing efforts to assist overseas Filipino workers and their families affected by the Middle East crisis.
