Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) announced on Friday a temporary toll rebate program to help ease the impact of rising fuel costs on the transportation sector.
The program, called “NLEX KaBiyahe,” will run from March 23 to May 22, 2026. It covers accredited Class 2 public utility buses and modernized jeepneys, as well as Class 3 vehicles using NLEX.
Qualified transport operators can receive toll rebates ranging from ₱12 to ₱88 per trip, depending on the vehicle type and route. This effectively brings toll fees back to previous rates before the latest increase.
MPTC said the initiative aims to help stabilize transport costs, support the movement of goods, and protect commuters amid higher fuel prices.
To qualify, Class 3 vehicles must have a valid Easytrip account with enough balance and must not be enrolled in other toll discount programs. Bus and modernized jeepney operators must apply by submitting documents via email and must be accredited by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Operators with traffic violations during the program period will be disqualified. Applications for buses and modern jeepneys will be accepted from March 23 to April 5, 2026.
Meanwhile, traditional jeepneys will continue receiving support through the Passada Card program for northern routes.
