Property developer AppleOne Group Inc. has officially launched Mahi Center, a new mixed-use development on Mactan Island, expanding its portfolio in Cebu.
Located in Barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City, just minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the complex combines business, retail, and hospitality facilities in one area.
Mahi Center includes a three-story boutique mall, a five-story office tower, and the Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan hotel, the first Marriott-branded city hotel on the island. The project has a total floor area of about 52,000 square meters, with space allocated for offices and retail.
The facility had its soft opening on December 18 last year, ahead of its formal launch on Wednesday.
AppleOne said the project aims to support Cebu’s economic growth by creating a hub for businesses, residents, and travelers. Company officials highlighted Cebu’s growing appeal as a center for tourism, investment, and modern urban living.
The office spaces are already about 60 percent occupied, with ongoing talks to lease the remaining floors. The company said it prefers tenants that will occupy entire floors to improve operational efficiency.
AppleOne executives also noted that improved connectivity and a more diverse economy are helping drive continued development in Cebu.
