VITRO Inc. announced that its VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) facility has achieved TIA-942 Rated 3 Facility Certification, confirming that the data center is designed to operate बिना interruptions even during maintenance or repairs.
The certification was granted after an audit by Enterprise Products Integration (EPI), an internationally recognized body that evaluates data center standards.
Opened in April 2025 and inaugurated by Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., VSR is the country’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center. The 50-megawatt facility is located in Laguna and is connected to both local fiber networks and international submarine cables, allowing it to support businesses, cloud providers, government systems, and AI platforms.
The certification follows standards set by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), which outlines requirements for secure, reliable, and well-connected data centers worldwide.
With a Rated 3 certification, VSR has no single point of failure. Its systems are built with redundancy, meaning equipment can be repaired or replaced without disrupting services. The facility can also run continuously for at least 72 hours using backup power systems.
VITRO officials said the certification strengthens the Philippines’ position as a growing hub for digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia.
