Telecom company Globe Telecom has rolled out relief and connectivity support for communities in Albay as Mayon Volcano remains under Alert Level 3 due to ongoing unrest.
According to DOST–PHIVOLCS, the volcano continues to show effusive eruption, with lava flows, rockfalls, and possible pyroclastic density currents. Activity has been observed along the Mi-isi gully, prompting authorities to maintain safety measures in affected areas.
Globe said its network remains stable and operational. Through its #AlagangGlobe initiative, the company is providing free calls, texts, and limited mobile data to Globe and TM users in selected areas. Broadband users are also receiving additional data, promo extensions, and payment relief.
Customers can also support relief efforts by donating through the GlobeOne app to Rise Against Hunger Philippines or via GCash.
The assistance covers several Albay towns, including Camalig, Guinobatan, Daraga, and Legazpi’s neighboring areas.
Globe said it will continue coordinating with authorities and expand support if needed as the situation develops.
