OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc. said it sold about 6,684 ounces of gold doré to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 2025, equivalent to 31 percent of its annual gold production.
The company said the volume exceeded its minimum 25 percent commitment under its gold buying agreement with the BSP.
OGPI said the additional gold deliveries help strengthen the country’s reserve buffer and support economic stability amid global market uncertainty.
Company official Joan Adaci-Cattiling said the partnership reflects OGPI’s commitment to supporting the country’s financial resilience through responsible mining.
Under the agreement, OGPI is required to offer at least 25 percent of its annual gold doré production to the BSP from March 2025 to March 2028.
Since the deal began in 2022, OGPI has sold around 37,744.5 ounces of gold to the BSP.
OGPI operates the Didipio copper-gold mine in Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino. The company expects the mine to produce up to 105,000 ounces of gold and 15,000 metric tons of copper this year.
