Converge, Danao City partner to boost digital services

Broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has partnered with the Danao City local government to strengthen the city’s digital infrastructure and improve public services.

Under the agreement, Danao City will use Converge’s Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) as the main backbone for its government operations. The upgraded connectivity aims to support faster communication, secure data management, and more efficient delivery of services across city departments.

Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III said the city began its digital transformation efforts in 2023, with investments focused on improving internet access and connectivity. So far, 27 out of 42 barangays have been connected to reliable internet service, with the city targeting full connectivity within the year.

Converge Global Business officials said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to helping local government units modernize their operations through reliable and scalable internet solutions.

Danao City ICT officer Jaive Joseph B. Roble said stronger connectivity is essential as the city continues upgrading its systems and enhancing services for residents.

The partnership is expected to support Danao City’s goal of becoming a Smart City by enabling advanced digital technologies and improving government efficiency.
