Ayala-led AC Logistics is stepping up its bid to build the country’s leading integrated logistics platform after A.P. Moller Capital completed its acquisition of a 40 percent stake in the company, bringing fresh capital and global supply chain expertise to support its next growth phase.
The deal, completed after all closing conditions were met, comes as the Philippines sees rising demand for faster, more resilient, and technology-driven logistics services amid expanding manufacturing, e-commerce, food distribution, and infrastructure development.
Beyond funding, the partnership gives AC Logistics access to A.P. Moller Capital’s international experience in transportation and supply chain management, strengthening its capabilities across four core businesses: cold chain, air cargo logistics, contract logistics and national distribution, and project cargo.
The investment also bolsters AC Logistics’ aggressive expansion of its cold chain network following its acquisition of an 84 percent stake in Glacier Megafridge Inc., positioning the company to capitalize on growing demand for temperature-controlled storage and distribution serving the food, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and retail industries.
“The completion of these transactions marks a transformative step in building a leading integrated logistics platform in the Philippines,” AC Logistics President and CEO Erry Hardianto said. “Together with A.P. Moller Capital, we are expanding our network, strengthening our capabilities, and delivering more seamless logistics solutions for customers across the country.”
For A.P. Moller Capital, the Philippines represents a high-growth logistics market where fragmented supply chains offer significant opportunities for integration and efficiency gains.
Senior Partner Lars Reno Jakobsen said the country’s archipelagic geography and sustained economic expansion create strong demand for modern logistics infrastructure capable of connecting businesses and consumers more efficiently.
The transaction also reflects Ayala Corp.’s broader strategy of partnering with global industry leaders to accelerate the growth of its businesses.
Ayala President and chief executive officer Cezar P. Consing said the partnership combines local market expertise with international operational know-how, positioning AC Logistics to strengthen supply chains, improve distribution efficiency, and support the country’s long-term economic and industrial growth.
