Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company and leading global IT solutions distributor, has announced the expansion of its IBM distribution network. The initiative covers 20 new markets across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. In the Asia Pacific region, the expansion adds six new markets – Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia (operating under the Tech Data brand there), Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Philippines. This builds on the company’s existing IBM operations in Australia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam, bringing the total number of APJ markets supported to ten.
According to Jaideep Malhotra, president of TD SYNNEX APJ, the expansion strengthens the long-standing partnership between Tech Data and IBM. It aims to make IBM technologies, expertise, and support more widely available to local partners, enabling them to identify new opportunities and deliver greater value to their customers.
Mark Martin, vice president of global vendor management at TD SYNNEX, noted that the expansion connects with more partners seeking to grow their IBM business. To support them, the company is rolling out Select Blue – a program developed together with IBM. This initiative is designed to help partners move from identifying opportunities to executing projects more efficiently, with clearer guidance and reduced uncertainty. Select Blue focuses on high-growth areas such as artificial intelligence, data, and automation, helping partners differentiate themselves in the market.
Beyond access to solutions, Tech Data provides end-to-end support including training, financing, pre-sales assistance, and go-to-market execution. The operations in all new markets will follow a consistent global framework while adapting to local needs, ensuring reliable service and measurable results.
