DP World to expand Philippine logistics network

DP World is set to open a new warehouse in the Philippines before the end of 2026, expanding its logistics footprint as the global supply chain company builds a more integrated network across Southeast Asia.

The planned facility is part of a broader regional expansion that includes new warehouses in Thailand and Malaysia. DP World has yet to disclose the Philippine warehouse’s location, size, or investment cost.

The expansion could strengthen the Philippines’ role in regional supply chains by adding warehousing capacity connected to DP World’s international network of ports, terminals, and freight services.

DP World announced the Philippine project alongside the opening of an 11,514-square-meter warehouse in Johor, Malaysia, within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone. A second Malaysian facility in Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to open later this year.

“The opening of our warehouse in Johor marks an important step in strengthening our growing logistics footprint across Southeast Asia,” said Jeanie Tan, DP World chief commercial officer for Logistics, Asia Pacific.

Tan said investments in strategic logistics assets connected to DP World’s ports and terminals would enable the company to provide more efficient, reliable, and resilient end-to-end supply chain solutions.

The Philippine facility will join DP World’s expanding Asia-Pacific contract logistics platform, which serves industries including technology, fashion, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.

The company operates 16 ports and terminals across Asia Pacific and is integrating warehousing with ocean, air, less-than-container-load, and intermodal freight services.

The strategy positions the Philippine warehouse as part of DP World’s wider push to capture rising intra-Asian trade and supply-chain diversification.

For the Philippines, the investment comes as manufacturers, retailers, and logistics providers seek more flexible distribution networks closer to major markets. By linking local warehousing capacity with its regional transport infrastructure, DP World aims to give customers greater control over inventory and movement of goods across increasingly complex Asian supply chains.
