Tencent has released Hy4 preview—an open-source, next-generation large language model with 770B total parameters, 49B active parameters, and over 1M-token context window. Built on expanded scale, data and training advances, it ranks among top open-source models and excels in coding, office work and research tasks.
Globally accessible via WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Yuanbao, ima, Tencent Cloud TokenHub and OpenRouter API, Hy4 preview is free on WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy for two weeks; Hy3 free access there extends to September 30. Scoring 2.99/4.00 in Tencent’s internal expert evaluation, it outperformed GLM-5.3 and Kimi K3.
Co-designed with domain experts and product teams, Hy4 preview strengthens software development, office/financial analysis, game prototyping, and scientific reasoning across key fields. Notably, it aided its own development and inference optimization, boosting throughput by 31.8%. Cost-efficient API pricing stands at $0.834/million input tokens, $2.501/million output tokens, $0.042/million cache tokens. More Hy4 series models are coming soon.
