The Philippine Airlines (PAL) has updated its FurPAL program to let small cats travel alongside dogs inside the aircraft cabin on every domestic flight, giving Filipino pet owners more flexibility when planning trips.
Under the expanded policy, each passenger may bring one small dog or cat in the cabin for a one-way fee starting at ₱2,500, in compliance with all airline rules and safety standards.
This change means travelers heading out for weekend beach trips, family visits to other cities, or long-awaited reunions can now keep their cats and dogs close at hand throughout the flight. It removes the stress of separating from pets and makes air travel more convenient and comfortable for both owners and their animal companions.
PAL designed the improved program to make pet-friendly flights easier to access, acknowledging that pets are considered valued members of many families. By including cats, the airline allows more households to explore new destinations together and share travel experiences with their beloved companions.
Pet owners are advised to check all of PAL’s requirements and guidelines ahead of their trip to ensure a smooth journey for themselves and their pets.
PAL runs scheduled nonstop flights from its main bases in Manila and Cebu, serving 29 destinations across the Philippines and 40 locations in Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
