Employee recognition does far more than celebrate success. When crafted to honor every stage of a professional journey, it deepens engagement, makes growth visible, and inspires people to reach for what comes next. This belief powers Hiraya, Foundever® Philippines’ unified national rewards and recognition ecosystem, which brought together more than 600 associates and leaders for its inaugural Hiraya Awards on August 28 at Marquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City.
For Willy Lim, Vice President for HR, Marketing & Communications and Talent Acquisition for Foundever APAC, this mission is rooted in his own story. Rising from agent to leadership roles across multiple countries, Lim has lived how opportunity, learning, and clear paths shape careers. “Recognition shows people how far they have come and clarifies what they can achieve next,” Lim said. “Hiraya was built to honor every milestone — performance, commitment, and the full journey of growth.”
Hiraya rests on three pillars reflecting the complete associate experience: consistent performance, dedicated tenure, and advancing growth. Together, these show exactly how careers unfold within the organization. The model is reinforced by research: a long-term Gallup–Workhuman study found recognized employees are 45 percent less likely to leave within two years, proving strong recognition directly lifts retention and strengthens the workplace. For the company, linking recognition to development also connects daily contributions to new skills, responsibilities, and future roles.
Its name drawn from Filipino heritage, Hiraya means aspiration, vision, and dreams made real. Its promise — “Recognizing every journey. Inspiring every tomorrow” — captures how each milestone builds toward a broader future. That vision took shape as over 500 awardees were honored. “When starting out, people may not see where their path leads,” Lim said. “By celebrating progress at every step, we make those possibilities clear for all.”
This approach aligns with Foundever’s focus on meaningful career pathways and people-first development. By uniting recognition for achievement, loyalty, and internal mobility in one national program, Hiraya fosters a culture where every employee sees their own potential reflected in colleagues’ success. Recognition becomes a bridge forward. “When people see what they have learned, what they have built, and where others have advanced, they begin to see what is possible for their own journey,” Lim added.
