GIGIL leads Philippine agencies at 2026 APAC Effie Awards

Independent Filipino ad agency GIGIL emerged as the Philippines’ top performer at the 2026 Asia Pacific Effie Awards, winning gold and bronze honors and securing third place in the region’s Independent Agency of the Year rankings.

GIGIL took home Gold in the Influencer category for Jiang Nan Hotpot Chain Restaurant’s “Michelle Lyn” campaign and Bronze in Short Video Marketing for Haleon Stresstabs’ “Assemble” campaign. The latter also earned a shortlist spot in Health & Wellness.

The wins cemented GIGIL’s position among Asia-Pacific’s leading independent creative agencies, extending its streak of regional recognition to six years.

The awards were presented at the 2026 APAC Effie Awards Gala in Singapore, where 67 winners were selected from 121 finalists across the region. GIGIL’s third-place ranking further distinguished the agency in a competition that measures marketing effectiveness through demonstrated business results.

Unlike awards focused solely on creative execution, the Effies recognize campaigns that combine strategic thinking and creativity to deliver measurable impact.

GIGIL has built a track record of award-winning work for major brands, including Grab, TNT, Netflix, CoCo Tea, Levi’s and RC Cola.

The agency also holds the distinction of being the Philippine agency with the most wins in APAC Effie Awards history, underscoring its sustained performance on the regional stage.

Its latest showing highlights the growing visibility of Filipino creative talent in Asia-Pacific advertising, where agencies face increasing pressure to pair standout ideas with tangible business outcomes.

For GIGIL, the two awards and third-place agency ranking add another milestone to its regional record, reinforcing its reputation for campaigns designed to make an impact beyond the screen.
