The Philippine Ports Authority is gearing up for a projected rise in sea travelers this Undas season, with facility improvements, free shuttles and an online booking system in place to keep port trips safe and convenient.
PPA estimates some 1.93 million passengers will pass through ports nationwide from October 27 to November 5, 2026, slightly higher than last year’s 1.90 million. Major upgraded hubs include Lucena, Banago‑Bacolod, Benoni‑Camiguin and Balingoan‑Misamis Oriental, with bigger waiting areas, family‑friendly spaces and solar‑powered features at key terminals.
Selected ports will have free shuttle services, while the Online Reservation Assistance System or ORAS is now active in Lucena, Balanacan, Calapan and Batangas, letting passengers check schedules and book trips in three quick steps: Scan, Choose, Reserve.
The agency said it is coordinating with port offices, shipping lines and other government groups to maintain readiness throughout the holiday period. Travelers are advised to plan ahead, follow official advisories and confirm vessel schedules to avoid hassle during the Undas rush.
