Insular Life Assurance Co. Ltd. (InLife) has won its sixth 4-Golden Arrow Award, the highest recognition given by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) for corporate governance performance, extending its record of recognition under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard.
The distinction is reserved for top-performing Philippine companies assessed under the governance scorecard. InLife has received the award six times since the institute began recognizing the insurer in 2018.
InLife Executive Chair Nina D. Aguas accepted the award during the Golden Arrow Awards ceremony on October 23 at the Makati Shangri-La hotel.
“For a 115-year-old institution like InLife, this award serves as a reminder that the trust of our policyholders and the dedication of our employees are responsibilities we must continue to earn, every single day,” Aguas said.
She said the recognition underscores the company’s responsibility to continually improve its services and preserve the confidence of policyholders, particularly as it builds on more than a century of operations.
“We accept this honor with gratitude and humility, knowing that it carries an obligation to do better and serve more faithfully,” she added.
Aguas credited InLife’s board for providing leadership and direction, its employees for consistently delivering on the company’s commitments, and generations of policyholders for sustaining their confidence in the insurer.
The latest recognition highlights the importance of corporate governance in maintaining institutional credibility and accountability, particularly for a financial services company entrusted with protecting policyholders over the long term.
“At InLife, our commitment remains simple: to be worthy of that trust, today and for generations to come,” Aguas said.
