GCash Partners with Viamericas to Enable Real-Time Remittances for OFs

GCash, the country’s leading digital finance platform, has announced a partnership with Viamericas, a licensed money transmitter based in the United States, in offering real-time remittances to GCash accounts in the Philippines. The collaboration aims to provide fast, secure, and convenient financial services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in North America, making it easier for them to send money to their families back home.

According to Paul Albano, GCash International general manager, the partnership is designed to empower OFWs by providing an efficient way to send funds directly to GCash accounts. “This collaboration enhances financial control for OFWs and strengthens their connection with families in the Philippines,” Albano explained. “We are committed to making the remittance process simpler and more accessible.”

Viamericas’ co-founder and executive chairman, Joseph Argilagos, said the partnership will help expand their reach in the Philippines. “This collaboration perfectly aligns with our mission to provide affordable, reliable, and accessible financial services,” Argilagos said.

With more than 81 percent of Filipinos using GCash, which offers a wide range of financial services, the partnership stands to make a significant impact, benefiting millions of users who rely on remittances for everyday living.
