San Miguel Food and Beverage Inc. posted a 16 percent growth in first quarter net income to P11.6 billion, helped by robust demand, operational improvements, and strategic cost management.
SMFB said consolidated revenue increased by 4 percent year-on-year to P98.9 billion while gross profit rose 11 percent to P28.6 billion. Operating income in the first quarter also rose 16 percent to P15.2 billion.
“Our results reflect the resilience and strength of our diversified portfolio, as well as our continued focus on execution,” said Ramon S. Ang, chairman of SMFB.
“We remain optimistic about the rest of the year, supported by investments in key growth areas—such as expanding production capacities and strengthening our distribution network—positioning us well for sustained growth in 2025 and beyond.”
San Miguel Foods recorded P46.3 billion in revenue, an 8 percent increase from the previous year on strong poultry performance and steady results from Purefoods processed meats, Magnolia dairy, coffee, and flour. Net income more than doubled, increasing by 83 percent to P3.0 billion.
San Miguel Brewery Inc. posted P36.3 billion in sales, with domestic revenue of P32.0 billion and international sales at USD74.9 million. The beer segment posted a 1 percent growth operating income of P8.2 billion and net income of P6.6 billion.
Ginebra San Miguel Inc. saw an 8 percent rise in revenue to P16.3 billion, driven by sustained consumer demand and broader customer reach. Operating income grew 8 percent to P2.5 billion, with net income up 11 percent to P2.1 billion.
