Cebu-based Vivant Infracore Holdings, Inc., operating as Vivant Water, has completed its acquisition of Bantayan Resource Management and Development Corp., securing full ownership and operational control of the water distribution provider serving the Municipality of Bantayan in Cebu.
The transaction covers 100 percent of BREMANDCOR’s equity, giving Vivant Water direct oversight of service delivery to more than 4,000 households. The move marks a strategic pivot from upstream and bulk water investments into last-mile distribution—effectively closing a longstanding gap in its water value chain.
Company officials said the acquisition reinforces Vivant Water’s vertically integrated model. The firm is preparing to operate a 20-million-liters-per-day bulk water facility through Isla Mactan Cordova Corp., promoted as the country’s first utility-scale seawater desalination plant. It also manages wastewater operations via the Puerto Princesa Water Reclamation and Learning Center. By taking over Bantayan’s distribution network, Vivant can link production, treatment, and delivery into a unified system.
“This development completes our vision of bringing reliable water solutions where they are needed most,” Vivant Water president Jess Garcia said, underscoring the firm’s focus on underserved and geographically isolated communities.
The deal also rounds out Vivant’s broader utilities presence on Bantayan Island. Since 2022, it has supplied power through Isla Norte Power Corporation.
With both electricity and water services now under its portfolio, Vivant is positioning itself to support rising residential demand and the island’s growing appeal as a tourism hub—ensuring critical infrastructure keeps pace with development.
