Converge ICT Solutions Inc. confirmed on Monday that its commercial arrangement with SKY Cable Corp. remains fully in place, putting to rest reports suggesting the partnership was set to end. In its statement, Converge assured customers that the existing agreement continues without disruption, with both firms committed to delivering consistent broadband and digital connectivity across the country.
SKY Cable also issued its own reassurance, telling subscribers that service levels and support will stay unchanged despite recent industry developments. The two companies launched their network-sharing deal in July 2024, designed to boost internet speeds and reliability. Under the arrangement, SKY Cable uses Converge’s nationwide fiber-to-the-home network—spanning more than 896,000 kilometers, the largest in the Philippines—to power its services.
The partnership supports SKY Cable’s strategic shift. After discontinuing its satellite TV service in August 2020 following the expiration of its legislative franchise, the company refocused entirely on growing its broadband segment. This pivot remains effective: SKY Cable reported revenues of P571 million for the first quarter ending March 2026, underscoring the role of its collaboration with Converge in sustaining its operations.
