The House of Representatives has approved a resolution commending the long-standing bilateral relations between the Philippines and Japan, marking the 70th anniversary of the normalization of their diplomatic ties.
On August 5, House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III formally presented the resolution to Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya during a ceremony held at the House of Representatives Plenary Hall.
The resolution recognizes this year as a major milestone in the friendship between the two nations. It points to the elevation of their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership as proof of deepening cooperation across key areas including the economy, security, people-to-people connections, and parliamentary exchanges. The measure also reaffirms the House’s commitment to further strengthening the friendship between the Philippines and Japan.
