The price of gasoline at the pumps sold by the various retailers goes up by P0.95 per liter beginning midnight Tuesday.
Pilipinas Shell, Caltex Philippines, Clean Fuel, PTT and Jetti also sell their diesel and kerosene products by P1.30 per liter and P1.25 per liter, respectively. As at last week’s adjustments, the price of gasoline in Manila stood at P75.65 per liter, diesel at P65.22 per liter and kerosene at P78.31 per liter, based on Department of Energy data.Also as of 10 October, the price of gasoline show a net increase of P12.25 per liter, P11.35 per liter for diesel and P5.94 per liter for kerosene.
These adjustments were attributed to bigger-than-expected drawdown on crude stockpiles by American oil companies in the second week of October.
The adjustments were also driven by apprehension over global supply disruptions after Iran called for an oil embargo on Israel over the conflict in Gaza with Palestine.
