PNP probes VP claim, may take legal steps

The Philippine National Police said it treats any threat to the safety and security of the President “with the utmost seriousness.” PNP says it recognizes the “grave nature” of the threats made by VP Sara Duterte on the life of President Marcos, his wife and House Speaker Romualdez and will investigate the matter. PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco direct the CIDG to conduct the probe. “We assure the public that the PNP will work diligently to ensure the safety of all concerned and will take the necessary legal actions in accordance with the law,” the statement issued by the PNP said.
