DOJ probing VP Sara on assassination threat

The Department of Justice is taking strong action against Vice President Sara Duterte after she issued a threat to assassinate President Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Romualdez. In a briefing at the presidential palace, Justice Undersecretary Jesse Andres said the NBI has begun investigating the plot and will subpoena the Vice President to clarify the issue. “The full force of the law will be used in dealing with this matter,” said Andres. He assured that the Vice President will be given due process but emphasized that she is “not immune from suit.”
