Meralco retail electricity supply arm MPower has renewed its power supply agreement with the Araneta Group, marking the continuation of an 11-year partnership with ACI Inc. The pact covers the energy needs of Araneta City’s various commercial and residential properties in Quezon City. MPower also signed a new supply agreement with Araneta Group’s newly opened hotel, ibis Styles Manila.
The exact terms, including the electricity volume and contract duration, were not disclosed. Nevertheless, this further solidifies MPower’s position as a key player in the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM), providing tailored services to businesses with substantial energy demands.
This is significant both commercially and strategically as the agreement enhances MPower’s footprint in the retail and hospitality sectors, ensuring a reliable energy supply for high-demand properties under the Araneta Group. Maria Manlulu-Garcia, general manager of the Novotel & ibis Styles Manila cluster, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in maintaining operational efficiency and high customer service standards.
