PNB Capital and Investment Corp., the investment banking arm of Philippine National Bank, clinched two prestigious honors at The Asset Triple A Country Awards held in Singapore in July for its role in advancing renewable energy in the Philippines.
The firm was recognized for its leadership in sustainable finance, securing the “Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Solar” and “Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Rooftop Solar” awards. The accolades spotlight PNB Capital’s strategic role in mobilizing capital for clean energy projects.
The Solar Deal award was granted for its work on the P18.23-billion financing for the Bugallon Solar Power Project, a 650.1-MWp facility developed by 3 Barracuda Energy Corp. under MGreen and Vena Energy. Meanwhile, the Rooftop Solar award honored the P2.16-billion syndicated loan it arranged for Buskowitz Energy Inc., aimed at expanding rooftop solar PV systems nationwide.
“These wins are milestones not just for our team but for the communities and industries we serve,” said Gerry Valenciano, president of PNB Capital. “We’re proud to support the Philippines’ clean energy transition.”
The awards affirm PNB Capital’s growing influence in the renewable energy space and its commitment to financing projects that drive environmental and social impact.
