2GO Travel announced Thursday the temporary suspension of all voyages, pier operations, and ticketing services at Manila ports as a precautionary response to Tropical Storm Opong.
The move follows the latest weather advisory from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), which placed Metro Manila under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.
In a statement, 2GO said the suspension is intended “to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and port communities.” The company urged passengers to remain at home and avoid going to ports until services are declared safe to resume.
The affected voyages include:
- MV St. Francis Xavier – Manila to Iloilo and Bacolod
- MV 2GO Masikap – Manila to Cebu
- MV 2GO Masigla – Manila to Coron and Puerto Princesa
- MV 2GO Masinag – Manila to General Santos, Davao, and Cebu
2GO Travel added that it continues to closely monitor weather developments in coordination with relevant authorities. Further updates on voyage schedules and rebooking procedures will be announced via official channels, including its Facebook page.
