Ayala, Honda shift dealer operations strategy

ACMobility, the mobility solutions arm Ayala Corp., and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) announced the upcoming transition of their dealer operations, effective January 1 next year. All Honda dealerships currently operated by ACMobility through Iconic Dealership Inc. (IDI) will be handed over to new dealer principals. This move reflects both companies’ evolving growth and innovation strategies.

The partnership between ACMobility and Honda dates back to 1990 with the launch of Honda Cars Makati. Over three decades, the network expanded nationwide, with ACMobility becoming the largest Honda dealer group in the Philippines, selling over 220,000 vehicles as of August 2025.

The transition includes dealerships in key locations such as Makati, Pasig, Shaw, Bacoor, Cebu, Mandaue, Iloilo, Negros, and Cagayan de Oro. ACMobility will continue operating these outlets until December 31, 2025, after which new dealer principals will take over.

Both companies assure customers of a seamless transition, with no disruption to sales, service, or warranty support. Active reservations will be honored, and scheduled services will proceed as planned.

Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility, said the shift allows the company to focus on sustainable mobility and electrification efforts, aligning with Ayala’s broader strategy to streamline business operations.

ACMobility will continue with its BYD and Kia distribution, EV charging infrastructure, and other automotive ventures following the dealership turnover.
