UnionDigital Bank has partnered with the state pension agency, the Social Security System (SSS), to launch a micro-loan program called SSS LoanLite aimed at helping qualified members, especially overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), access quick financial support.
Through the program, members can apply for short-term loans directly in the bank’s mobile app. Once enrolled, they also gain access to other digital banking services from UnionDigital Bank, including free InstaPay transfers, online bill payments to over 500 merchants, and a savings account with interest earnings.
The organizations said the partnership is designed to make financial services more accessible and convenient, particularly for OFWs who need to support families and manage expenses from abroad. Loan proceeds are credited directly to members’ savings accounts and can be used immediately for transfers and payments.
