Apollo Global unit secures rights to Masbate project

Apollo Global Capital Inc. said its subsidiary JDVC Resources Corp. has entered into an operating agreement with Masbate 2145 Philippines Inc., granting JDVC exclusive rights over a large mineral property in Masbate.

JDVC will serve as the sole operator of the project, with authority to explore, develop, extract, and market mineral resources within the contract area. The property spans about 15,909 hectares across the municipalities of Mobo, Uson, and Milagros. Masbate 2145 is exploring for gold, copper, silver and zinc.

JDVC will be responsible for all exploration and development activities, including securing key regulatory approvals such as a Declaration of Mining Project Feasibility, an Environmental Compliance Certificate, and the eventual conversion of the permit into a Mineral Production Sharing Agreement.

The agreement, approved by JDVC’s board, will run for the remaining term of the exploration permit, including any extensions, and into the life of the production agreement once secured.

The move expands Apollo’s mining footprint and strengthens its pipeline of potential projects. By securing operational control over a sizable mineral area, the company positions itself to accelerate resource development and support long-term production growth.

The transaction also reflects a broader push among listed mining firms to consolidate operational control over prospective assets, as companies seek to unlock value from underdeveloped mineral properties while navigating permitting and regulatory processes.
