Merienda just got a little more tempting.
McDonald’s Philippines is giving Filipinos three new reasons to look forward to their afternoon break with the launch of limited-time treats under its McSavers Snack & Match lineup, adding fresh flavors to the country’s favorite in-between-meals ritual.
Starting July 3, customers can sink their teeth into the Choco Lava Puff, a flaky pastry with a warm, chocolate-filled center, snack on Poptato—crispy, bite-sized potato pops inspired by McDonald’s iconic fries—or satisfy a sweet craving with the Taro Custard Pie, which combines earthy taro and creamy custard in the brand’s signature crunchy pie crust.
The new offerings arrive as McDonald’s leans into the Filipino love for merienda, that uniquely local pause in the day when food becomes an excuse to catch up with friends, bond with family or simply recharge before the next task.
“We know how important merienda is in bringing people together. With that in mind, we’re introducing these exciting new Snack & Match offerings,” said Ada Almendras-Lazaro, chief marketing officer of McDonald’s Philippines.
Under the McSavers Snack & Match promo, customers can choose a main snack starting at P59, including the new Choco Lava Puff and Medium Poptato, alongside well-loved staples such as the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Cheesy Burger McDo, McSpaghetti, World Famous Fries and Iced Coffee Original. For P79, the snack can be paired with sides such as the new Taro Custard Pie, McFloat variants, a Plain Sundae or a soft drink.
Available at dine-in counters, kiosks, drive-thrus and delivery platforms, the new lineup offers a timely reminder that sometimes the best part of the day isn’t lunch or dinner—it’s merienda, especially when there’s something new on the menu.
