Fifty-one Security Bank employees from six local branches volunteered August 1, 2026, to paint new classrooms at Iloilo City National High School (ICNHS), supporting the Security Bank Foundation (SBFI)’s education and nation-building mission.
The work forms part of SBFI’s Build a School, Build a Nation Program, completing finishing touches on a two-storey, 10-classroom building begun in February 2026 and due for turnover later this year. This marks the 125th classroom painted under the foundation’s volunteer initiative, part of 18 nationwide projects since 2011 that have mobilized 1,293 employee volunteers.
“Helping our Filipino youth is helping shape the future of our country,” said SBFI Chairman Rafael Simpao Jr. branch channel manager Remcil Ortiz called her first volunteer experience in 10 years with the bank “truly fulfilling.” The activity was held with ICNHS student leaders, Philippine Red Cross, and the bank’s Security and Safety Division. Principal Alpha Java thanked volunteers for their belief in the school’s learners and their dreams.
