Cebu snack maker signs power supply deal with COREnergy for 750 kW

Cebu-based snack manufacturer Prifood Corp has partnered with COREnergy, the retail electricity arm of Vivant Energy, to supply power to its manufacturing operations in the Philippines.

The agreement covers Prifood’s two production plants in Mandaue City with a combined electricity demand of up to 750 kilowatts. Through the deal, Prifood consolidates its power needs to gain better pricing leverage and improve energy management across its expanding operations.

The partnership is part of the Philippines’ Retail Aggregation Program, which allows businesses to combine electricity demand and choose more competitive and tailored power supply arrangements from private suppliers.

Company officials said the move supports more efficient and sustainable operations, while COREnergy said the arrangement helps manufacturers align energy use with business goals. The cost of the electricity deal was not disclosed.

Founded in 1990 in Cebu, Prifood is known for snack brands such as Super Crunch and Super Delights and continues to expand its production footprint nationwide.
