AppleOne Group is ramping up its portfolio with a bold retail and mixed-use expansion, unveiling its first mall property at the Mahi Center near Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
The Cebu-based company said the new retail development is part of a larger strategy to build integrated communities that merge hospitality, commercial, healthcare, and residential assets—aimed at generating recurring economic activity and long-term value.
Located just 10 minutes from the country’s second-busiest international airport, the Mahi Center features a five-level office tower, a retail mall anchored by Metro Supermarket and international dining brands, and a 196-room Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan.
AppleOne executives emphasized that the project embodies the group’s ecosystem approach, where hospitality developments drive tourism and business activity, subsequently boosting retail leasing and residential demand.
“Our vision is to build an ecosystem where work, retail, tourism, and hospitality fuel lasting growth for all,” said Sam Manigsaca, AppleOne vice president for hospitality.
The retail expansion complements AppleOne’s existing portfolio of high-profile hospitality and residential projects, including Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort—the first Marriott International resort in the Philippines—and the upcoming JW Marriott Panglao Island Resort and Spa, marking the brand’s Philippine debut.
AppleOne’s premium residential pipeline includes JW Marriott Residences Panglao Island and Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences Cagayan de Oro.
The company is also scaling its presence in healthcare and flexible workspaces, reinforcing its interconnected community model designed to sustain urban and tourism growth across the Visayas and Mindanao.
