McDonald’s Philippines, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Philippines, has expanded its community impact in Manila with the opening of the 56th Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Learning Center.
The new facility was officially handed over to the City of Manila during a ceremony at McDonald’s United Nations–Del Pilar store earlier this month.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, alongside city officials, received the key to the new learning center, which is located in Boystown Manila. This marks the city’s second Bahay Bulilit site, following the Quirino facility, reinforcing McDonald’s commitment to early childhood education and community development.
The nationwide network of 56 Bahay Bulilit centers supports more than 5,000 preschool learners annually, providing access to early childhood care for underserved communities.
Margot Torres, managing director of McDonald’s Philippines, said, “Today marks an important milestone for us with our Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit efforts in Manila. We remain committed to working alongside partners to support workers, families, and communities in meaningful ways.”
Torres emphasized that the Manila expansion reflects McDonald’s continued collaboration with the city through education, employment, and community-based programs.
Since 2019, the company has also partnered with Manila to create employment opportunities for senior citizens, with 51 seniors now employed across 26 McDonald’s stores in the city.
