Ayala Malls is repositioning its malls as multi-use community hubs with the launch of Our Common Place, an initiative that transforms retail environments into flexible spaces for work, rest, connection, and social support.
Rolling out this May across One Ayala, Greenbelt, and Glorietta, the program responds to changing lifestyles shaped by remote and hybrid work, rising living costs, and the growing need for accessible “third spaces” outside the home and office.
The initiative introduces purpose-built zones designed for productivity and downtime, including communal work tables, charging stations, quiet corners, and casual seating areas for small group interactions. These spaces are intended to support both focus and informal connection, reflecting how urban Filipinos now use public environments throughout the day.
Alongside these work-and-connect areas, community pantries have been integrated into select mall locations, allowing visitors to voluntarily donate essential goods. The donations will support the Makati PUV community, particularly public utility vehicle workers, while also remaining accessible to anyone in need.
“Our Common Place creates spaces where people can work, pause, connect, and help others in simple, meaningful ways,” said Mae Dichupa, Head of Marketing and Consumer Experience at Ayala Malls.
Each location offers a distinct setup: One Ayala features The Stacks and The Hobby Hub with donation points across levels; Greenbelt 5 provides quieter, more reflective work-friendly areas; while Glorietta’s Palm Drive hub combines productivity zones with family-oriented and community-focused spaces.
Through Our Common Place, Ayala Malls is reinforcing its shift from traditional retail centers into shared urban environments that support everyday living, collaboration, and small acts of community care.
