Prime Infra launches tree planting drive to boost sustainability

Prime Infrastructure (Prime Infra) has launched Prime Kalikasan: Greener Prime, Greater Future, a tree planting initiative aimed at reinforcing its environmental sustainability efforts. The program kicked off on September 5 and 6 at Prime Infra’s waste management sites in Porac, Pampanga and Barangay Binaliw, Cebu City.

Led by Prime Infra Foundation and Prime Waste Solutions (PWS), the initiative saw the planting of around 700 Ylang-Ylang seedlings in Pampanga, and 1,000 mixed native and fruit-bearing trees in Cebu—including Narra, Molave, and Rambutan. The trees are expected to serve as bio-fencing to boost air quality and biodiversity in the areas.

Nearly 150 volunteers, including students, local residents, and government representatives, participated in the Pampanga leg. PWS, Prime Infra’s waste management arm, operates materials recovery facilities in both regions, focusing on sorting, segregation, and recycling.

Prime Infra, the infrastructure firm of businessman Enrique K. Razon Jr., said the program reflects its commitment to embedding sustainability across its operations and supporting climate resilience.
